PrayLock is an iPhone app that locks the apps you choose until you pray. You pick the apps or app categories, and PrayLock uses Apple's Screen Time controls to put a prayer shield in front of them. After you pray in PrayLock, they unlock.
PrayLock is an iPhone app and needs iOS 18.0 or later. It is not available on Android, and there is no separate iPad or Apple Watch version.
PrayLock is free to download, with in-app purchases. The App Store listing notes that features such as daily scripture, prayer topics, prayer stats, shareable prayer quotes and prayer notes require a purchase. On the US App Store (checked 24 September 2026) the in-app purchases listed are: PrayLock Pro Weekly $4.99, PrayLock Pro Annual $9.99, PrayLock Pro Annual $39.99. Prices vary by country; the price shown in the app before you buy is the one that applies.
During setup you choose which apps or categories to protect and give PrayLock Screen Time permission. When you try to open a protected app, you see a PrayLock screen instead of the app. Open PrayLock and pray through a short timed prayer (30 seconds by default; you can set anything from 5 seconds to 5 minutes), and your apps unlock.
They are PrayLock's two modes. In Daily Devotion you pray once a day and your apps stay unlocked until your daily reset time. In Mindful Moments you take a prayer break before each app session; the apps unlock for the session length you set (10 minutes by default, from 5 to 60 minutes) and then lock again. You can switch modes in Settings.
You can pray for yourself, your loved ones or others. PrayLock lets you keep a private list of people to pray for, with optional prayer notes for each person (prayer notes require a purchase), and offers prayer topics with Bible verses to guide you.
Purchases are handled by Apple. To cancel, open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose PrayLock. Refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
