Start with the family, not the timer
The General Conference's Adventurer ministry brings church, home and school together for children ages 4–9. Parents and guardians take part alongside their children. This sheet is for the adults preparing a short worship time at home or a small family gathering.
Choose a familiar place and keep materials simple: a Bible, paper and something to draw with may be enough. The example lengths help an adult prepare. They are not a reason to hurry a child's question or turn worship into a timed task.
Read a little and notice something
Pick a short passage you have read beforehand. You might choose a scene from the life of Jesus or a few verses of a Psalm. Have the passage ready in your own Bible so the gathering does not start with a search through a phone.
Ask one open question about what you read. What happened? What surprised you? Let a younger child point or draw rather than needing to give a polished answer. Leave room for a question you may need to return to later.
Give the activity one purpose
Connect one small activity to the reading. Draw something you noticed in a creation passage, make a thank-you card after talking about kindness, or name one practical way to help someone that week. Use materials suitable for the children present and supervise the activity.
Change the activity label in the planner so you can see what to prepare. Keep personal names and prayer requests on your own paper rather than adding them to the plan. The worksheet needs only the parts of the gathering and their lengths.
Close simply, then adapt next time
Finish with a short prayer and one thought to carry into the day. A child may want to join in, listen or offer a simple thank-you. Afterward, notice which part held everyone's attention and which part needed more room.

Questions
Is this an official Adventurer lesson?
No. It is an independent family worship planner for adults. It does not complete an Adventurer class or award; use official club resources for those requirements.
What ages is Adventurers for?
The General Conference describes Adventurers as a ministry for children ages 4–9 with family involvement. Ask your local club how its groups are organised.
Can I change the example length?
Yes. Choose 10, 15 or 20 minutes, then edit each part. The total follows your edits, and the planner shows when it differs from the chosen example.
Do I need an account or subscription for the planner?
No. This web planner works without an account or subscription. The separate PrayLock iPhone app requires a Pro subscription.
